February 07—Gordon Campbell the Premier of BC has no say directing the trust which manages his financial affairs while he’s an MLA. Thus, he is not at all responsible for Alcan shares being in it.

It isn’t the dog days of summer, so why are a couple of insignificant factoids being fanned into scandal?

Journalists Russ Francis and Vaughn Palmer know that much perfectly well. As they insinuate wrongdoing ~ meanwhile they’re the ones manipulating the smoke+mirrors  ~ they insult the intelligence of the electorate.

Concerned citizens would do better to pay attention to what’s available about the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation buying shares of CN railway, while negotiations were underway to sell BC Rail to CN : not only a textbook example of insider trading, but done by the government itself!   The value of one of BC’s major assets stolen from the people and winding up in the bcIMC pension where it benefits

those who were accomplices to the crime.

Yet we haven’t seen a line of print about that massive theft by conversion.

Where are intrepid reporters Francis, Palmer - and the rest of the media pack - on that  REAL  scandal?
